Balto is a “work-horse” that is especially useful as a leader in deep snow or where there are no tracks, but has even led in sprint races. Good metabolism. Very devoted to people.
Because he has had some mysterious problems with one paw in particular, we thought of selling him. When Katerina of Kipp d’Amundsen kennel in Sweden needed an experienced leaddog, we felt we had found the perfect home for Balto! She seems to have found a way of dealing with his sore paw(s), and we are very much looking forward to hear how he will do this upcoming season.
