Before we left for the cabin in the moutains, we bought some excellent backpacks for our dogs from Seleverkstedet. The packs are not only good, but also very nice pieces of handicraft. Bosse also came along on a short trip to the coast in our boat.

Ulf participated in the Rauland Race. An open race organised by the local club, Mush. The event is described in the article Raulandsløpet 2004.
We spent our Easter vacation in the mountains as usual. Warm weather and one injured dog made the sledtrips short. During daytime the snow got really slushy, so to try to get off the runners and up to the front of the team was quite a challenge!
Yippi joined the family. From the middle of the month we had enough snow to use the sled while training.
In May we got our new puppy Bosse (Barrongiz Bright Sunlight) from Trude Mathisen/Barrongiz kennel in Sweden. We met at Heidiburgh’s kennel and Kerstin and Lasse welcomed us with a tour around the kennel and a nice meal.
We went straight from Sweden to the Norwegian Specialty show in Gålå. We showed Tara, Balto and Yippi.
Arctic Soul Utu arrived from Finland and is a dog we own together with Rikke Bergendahl. Lømmel went back to Rikke after having been part of our team for the season. Having him with us during the winter really helped our small team.
Ulf went to Gvepseborg (end station for the cable car from Rjukan) to help out on the Children’s Activity Day event. 50 laps of about 250metres had some surprising side effects; it did wonders when it came to command training and the dogs came out stronger and more eager after this experience. Of course they also got used to having more than two children around!
The annual NSHK pure bred race took place at Femunden. The experience is described in the article Rookie family at their first race.
The Norwegian Siberian 
Husky Club annual fall meeting/race took place at Finnskogen. Ulf participated in the rig race, 4 dog class and won (he was the only participant……). This was the first SH-event where the whole family took part.
We took Nay-La-Chee’s Lømmel with us home to use him in the team for the season. On our way back home we visited Rikke Bergendahl and looked at our soon-to-be puppy, Yippi.
